so anyway, at a point where i think i've accepted Love Comes Around is my favorite here/my soty. it was clearly put together so carefully/lovingly and the vocals are just sublime

Love the piano on that one. Relistening and the drums are also fantastic. Sublime is correct. My favorite however, has remained Second City. Chills all over and tears.

Also just relistened to TDDB and I love that one but this is better all around. AOTY as well.

Second City/Bloody Mary is like right behind it. i think my first listen of Second City was probably the best first listen of a track in my life. like, it was just me, a quiet street, and then one of the most beautifully quiet moments in music transitioning to an explosion. it couldn't have been more perfect. without that atmosphere it's still wonderful, but that was special right there
