It's hyperbolic to go that far but there elements here that absolutely call up some Bungle and even more so Faith no More imo.
It's refreshingly experimental/exploratory without going full circus time I think. If you told me A7X was gonna release a track that sounds like a Random Access Memories b-side and it's actually gonna slap I'd never believe you but here we have it.

I got vulgar 5'd and cowboys 4.5'd. those are the best ones mate. Followed by far and southern. I get the whole toxic bullshit Phil was on but Phil is not my role model or my best friend I listen to the music and that's it I don't judge ppl in bands or let it effect my enjoyability of the music itself. I'm sure there's far worse musician's personality wise than Phil anyhow. Just as long as some guy isn't a child molester or whatever in a band I don't really care. I'm there for the music

Cowboys is like the only one I can tolerate and that's 90% thanks to Cemetery Gates and the breakdown in Domination. I generally just kinda side-eye bands that sound like the kind of shit that would be the backdrop to an "outcast" kid getting his lunch money stolen by a bully.
No disrespect to people who are just in it for the music but for me the toxic ethos seeps through too much and it gives me a bad vibe.
