sputnik is cool cause its somewhat frozen in time a bit, we're the last music community where youre allowed to enjoy led zeppelin

RYM hype usually isnt indicative of quality, its just like "oh im 20 and this is my first *insert genre* album"

granted rym still has a way better database and you can discover great obscure shit from the cool people (i.e. old lists)

I also find most of the interesting stuff i listen to through RYM lists.
