I only listened to Blind Side Sonny once and I think the music video was kind of detracting from the song so I'll need to listen again without the visuals. I thought it was pretty solid and reminded me of Holly Wood and Vic the Butcher but just not as good. It'll be interesting to hear in the context of the album given how the song ends but I'm glad they're not doing butt rock or half-assed pop rock with it.

The music video was simple and stupid and kinda fun. Much better than The Joke lol

It was very un-Coheed I feel like. Or at least for that type of song.

Idk about that.
It felt like a throwback, honestly.
Most of their early songs are just them performing to crowds lol I can easily envision watching this thing on a PSP

Felt like I was living in 09 watching that video and going "well I guess it's ok for mAiNStrEAm music"

I think it's because the video is so bright and hi-def and the dancers in the background felt odd for the song compared to the jokey video they did for A Favor House Atlantic that had them dancing.

Is no one gonna share that blind side sunny track in the news feed?

New Coheed song "Searching for Tomorrow" has dropped and this is the closest Coheed have sounded to their debut album since I got into them back in 2006. Such a nostalgia kick!

Also looks like there's going to be a 4-song suite akin to that of The Willing Well's closing this album... Allegedly! Teenage me would have exploded by now! So hyped

Fffffuuuuuuuck. Really liking Searching for Tomorrow a lot.
Travis Stever's lead guitar, welcome back to being audible in the mix!

Damn, new song is VERY No World For Tomorrow.
While it does do the modern Coheed thing of having one riff playing over and over again throughout the whole song, there's actually a pretty big progression on the song and it sounds a lot fuller and more lively than a lot of their more recent radio rock songs.
Between this and Blindside Sonny, I'm really looking forward to the new one. The fact that there is a suite again has me really excited

Feels more Good Apollo I to me than No World for Tomorrow but yeah it feels like there's some soul in this one. I'd have loved for it to switch into something new for the back half like Three Evils does but the middle suite of songs on Good Apollo I were more straightforward like this one is so I can't complain much.
They've got me excited for the new album now, especially with having a 4 song suite at the end.

Album is definitely bringing them Good Apollo vibes so far! The groovy riffs, the sass, the suite with ridiculous names. I'm all for it!
I've been yearning for a second coming of The Willing Well's ever since they dropped Good Apollo, but they never quite scratched that itch. They just need to bring some of that funky prog, them soaring hooks and relentless energy back into the mix. I know they have it in them somewhere...

Inspired me to do a run through of their discography. Nearly done with IKSSE3.... god, I love this deeply goofy band
