I've been literally doing the same, I stop and pick it back up where I left off and I cannot do that with a lot of albums
I will probably 5 this, it's quite an accomplishment by Adrienne and the band

Yeah, I can’t remember the last time i had a single album on repeat this much. It’s been a while. The length helps in that regard, you’re less likely to burn out because there’s so much material

I agree with Plane this is best considered as a whole and I’m against the ‘just make a mixtape’ argument here as a judgement of the quality. No one can agree on the best songs to make up a ten song mixtape - if you want to sure but don’t assume it’ll resemble anyone else’s.

Only double album I have ever listened to where I wanna listen to the whole thing every time, I'll 5 it w/e

Well you like Yeule which is very good and this is very good so there's a fair shot maybe

Little Things sounds like a hit song from the 90's malfunctioning as they pull it writhing out of a wormhole
Good stuff I like this

Lenker's genius really snuck up on me for some reason. Like I remember UFOF being my first Big Thief and thinking yeah this is alright but very overhyped. Then Two Hands I didn't really get the love for either besides "Not", which was obviously incredible. It took falling in love with her solo album songs in 2020 for this one to even register any hype for me, but not only does this topple songs as the best work of hers I've heard, it pretty easily ranks among the most impressive in scope and best overall folk records that I've heard. I'm not saying it's the best outright, but it would make a top 25 (personal) all time folk records list if I made one right now. We'll see how time treats it but I'm very impressed and I'm glad to see the album getting such good traction here. I couldn't dream of taking an album like this for granted; it's beautiful, thoughtful, diverse, creative, and evocative. I agree with everything plane said too; as tempting as it is to try to parse this into something more quickly digestible, I'd definitely feel like it'd be a hollow version of the entire body of music that this was meant to be.

I also fell in love with Adrianne with Songs and then went back to UFOF and loved it, I just pick songs from their other albums

Definitely a highlight here yeah
re. "Love Love Love," the accidental-sounding opening to that tune reminds me of the random one-second snippet at the start of "Jenni"

I will say that great as “Love Love Love” is it doesn’t touch the Mountain Goats song of the same name.
