Just realized that the voice in Beyond I is Mariam Wallentin from Fire! Orchestra, holy shit, that's quite the feature, how come I never realized it.

Interesting thing happened here where listening to this has made me crave A Dawn to Fear more. Still fantastic though.

I haven't stopped listening to this since its release, looking forward to seeing where this falls in the spectrum of their discography in the next ten years. This might be my number 1 from them

This album is basically everything I could ask for from the band. Easy top 3 for me.

that Final Light project is pretty cool so far, definitely sounds sufficiently CoL-like at points

I should check Perturbator

^ check the newest one "Lustful Sacraments" if you want more raw atmospheric stuff.

Check "New Model" if you wanna get demolished.

gonna peep New Model
Perturb is one of those artists whose albums are good, but who is best experienced in repeat binges of five to eight songs on repeat forever (with his best guest-starring synth pop cruisers queued up for a comedown)

"New Model" is basically one of my favourite electronic releases ever. The drop in "Tactical Precision Disarray" is absolutely ridiculous, couldn't believe my ears the first time I heard it.

yeah its great

at the time i hoped so hard it would mark a change in the future of his sound/synthwave in general mb

same with like mega drive's 2017 album had a couple tracks i think it was biohacker and junkhead?

Yeah same, I still enjoy the post-punky vibe of "Lustful Sacraments" but do wish he would've kept to the heavier sound "New Model" proposed. Here's to hoping he revisits it sometime in the future.

Gotta spend more time with Final Light, I was a bit underwhelmed with it after one complete listen. Kind of seems like some synthwave with cult of luna vocals thrown on top that were just sound files in the dudes computer, but I guess I'm weird for thinking that

I mean Perturbator is not very good so that makes total sense tbh

live version of Final Light was a bit better going by memory

there’s more to it than just synthwave though. def has that CoL stamp to it.

Ei Boys. Are we still here? Been trying to revisit this unsuccessfully tbh. It worked like hell last Winter
