"he's like christgau of our times"
I don't give af about shitting on fantano cuz he deserves it but don't you drag Christgau's name in the mud that man is an icon.
Literally the Roger Ebert of music criticism.

Why do you guys give a fuck about what Fantano thinks, he’s just a nice dude that makes reviews you don’t have to let him opinions have such an emotional effect on you lol

It's weird how people talk about him all the time. I mean, it's another dude with an opinion. Who cares?

Are we going to say that Ebert and Christgau never had shit takes? They’re journalists with no more expertise in their field than Fantano has. Ebert liked some pretty shit movies and Christgau hated some amazing albums so they probably deserve to get shit on too

Robert "if it is prog, it sucks" Christgau. He just sounds as entlitled as Fantano does to me, though I agree you can say the same about pretty much any music critic

I think the point here was that Get Low... "pleasures" himself with Fantano videos.
And I'm not gonna judge fetishes here, hey, whatever rocks your boat, I've seen worst.

I wouldn't put this up with their classic 80's albums, but IMO this is their most solid record of the 21st century. Steve and Bruce aren't quite as old as Buck and Eric from Blue Oyster Cult, but they seem to have found the same fire. m/ m/

Pretty much everything Harris wrote solo on No Prayer is better than the last three songs on this album.

No Prayer for the Dying - the title track is in my top 5 maiden songs ever, but after that it really is one of the poorer albums.
Im rating Senjutsu higher than it overall.
All the "this is a borefest" "this is boring" comments etc, just shows people have simply not listened to it enough or for some reason, want to dislike it - maybe not overtly but on some level.
Because the more you listen to it the more it becomes vintage awesome maiden. It really does...
Ok maybe not vintage of the 80's, but then again some songs have some powerslave vibes, but it really still is loaded with quality.

It does have some vintage Maiden callbacks. It would have been interesting to see this produced by Birch.

Or maybe they just dislike it and this is yet another entry displaying their worst writing habits since Dance of Death.

Casavir cmon dude, this is pretty awesome. Not classic Maiden by any means, but still a solid effort. You don't like Days Of Future Past or The Parchment?

If anything is going on here is Maiden improving on those writing habits, actually.
