i think it is a good single choice, it doesnt sound that much like Creed.

Yeah, I know. But they could have put Find the Real out at a time when they could film a video if it was going to be their ONLY non-creedish single.

And 88 fingers, I don't think it sounds like creed per se, but people who here it and know that the members were mostly from creed will immediately think--oh crap, just another on of those bands.

Splash Freak i feel like you do. Broken wings is a great song but it is not something that will seperate themselves from Creed. Enough though it is very bluesy and i think some people may like that.

Good solos are rare, and this thread, frankly, SHOULDN'T be going, I don't care if I started it, if it is about my favorite band, etc. etc.

It simply should be long gone...

Creed was never appealing, and alter bridge is even less appealing...

Ye we get 4 really talented guys in a real rock band, who play real rock music, obviously i'm talking about AB.

Then we got a bunch of guys who wear white suits, sweat alot, make weird noises, dance weird in videos and on stage, shout down the mic, and make rubbish music that is sadly considered rock music = The Hives

Ahh whats this world coming to?

We should take the second half of this thread and move it to rock and metal and call it the official alter bridge thread or something like that... Cuz it has really become out of place here...

I bought this album a couple of days ago. Skipping through, I thought it sounded pretty good, then I sat down and listened to it. Each song alone sounds good, and the musicianship is not bad at all. In places I was reminded of black album era Metallica, in others, dare I say it, the mighty Dream Theater's Train of Thought.
All well and good. The only bad point I can think of is that listening through start to finish gives the impression that the tracks all sound very similar for the most part. Perhaps they will differentiate on further listenings. We shall see.
