i'm starting to like aenima more. lateralus has more impressive musicianship and it's fun as hell to play, but aenima has better songs.

The very first Tool album I listened to and took me a long while to get into it, but it is an absolute classic (my second favorite album ever).

I think it is slightly better than "Aenima" as it has better songs throughout - The Grudge, Ticks & Leeches, Lateralus, The Patient, Parabol/Parabola, Disposition, Reflection, Schism are all superb. This Message Edited On 10.02.08

My favorite album is "Blackwater Park" by Opeth.

I only heard it about 6 months ago. Like Lateralus it took me a few plays to get into (especially the death metal vocals), but it is the best album I have ever heard.

I still don't get why after all these years this still hasn't had the album art corrected.

Well, I dunno. This is the one I have, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateralus, and the only one I've seen, though I'm in Australia, and you're in the States, so possibly different versions?

1. Never trust wikipedia

2. There is a high possibility there is a different cover given to the Aussies or rather that you bought a different pressing of the album

Well, I'm curious as to what you yanks got then. Was your booklet made of transparent pages depicting a sliced human figure?

Also, did the album come in a thick plastic translucent sleeve?

The UK version I've got is exactly as you describe - transparent booklet depicting a human figure and the album cover is a thick plastic black translucent sleeve with "tool" at the top and "la te ra lus" at the bottom.

This album is long, but it's prolonged length feels necessary in Tool's standards.

I love playing Schism on a real e-guitar or a bass.

don't understand why anyone would play something like guitar hero anyway, but that's another story ;)
