yeah, like, I full think they are capable of putting out a 3/5 album still

they have been going out of their way to trend in this bad of a direction

A full album of Resentment would have been an insane improvement over this album as a whole

Yeah Resentment is perfectly decent. There are a few songs that work here, they're just overwhelmed by the amount of dogshit.

"A full album of Resentment would have been an insane improvement over this album as a whole"

now imagining a 15 track album that's variations of resentment with different breakdown callouts

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, GO"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, MOTHERFUCKER"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, BLEGH"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, FUCK"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, AUGH"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, WOAH OH"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, ITSTHETHRILLOFTHEFIGHT"

"WELCOME TO THE EYE OF THE TIGER, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHKNA6P6RbY"

masterful

Resentment is like the best possible outcome of their current trajectory, but it still sucks ass

It's so self-serious compared to their old stuff and that pre-breakdown is horrendous

i fucking hate resentment tbh. their attempts at incorporating electronics into their music are my least favorite thing about this album. it's just done sooooooo terribly.

honestly if they want to keep going this direction they should write jordan fish a blank check to come produce the next album

The only worthwhile song they've done in years is Last Chance to Dance and it being shoehorned in between the two worst songs makes me hate this album even more.

I'm like 99% sure Putney ghost wrote that song for them bc they're incapable of writing something that good on their own these days.

If you don’t like their old stuff you just don’t like fun. Their shows were so much fun

That’s what makes this hurt so much lol

to be fair, fish was mainly at the heml for both amo and Music to Listen to... and those both sucked ass and then the new one is the nicest one they have in years? i see a patern here...

"Homesick was everything back in 2008"

compared to some of stuff that was coming out back then, like TDWPs With Roots Above, fuck yea it was insanely cool

Homesick doesn't hold up perfectly today for me but there are some undeniable bangers on there.
