yeah I think the last band to do that was Trivium and that followed with a Metallica tribute album so my expectations for a third record now are pretty much on the floor

my love for Cocteau Twins, Blonde Redhead, Julee Cruise, Citrus etc. would disagree with you. I don't primarily think of Pyg as dream pop (although yes please add it to my evidence pile), it beats out that colourless trudge of sad boi slowcore any day
