for me, the "hype" came from the virtuoso guitarists on board for this album, but as far as I can tell Moment seems to have fallen pretty short of expectations.

if you compare this to say 'fiction' there's just zero bite despite the songwriting not being *that* different. even if you go further along the discography - construct was so much better songwriting wise. the elements don't gel here. every time i hear clean vocals (which aren't bad in and of themselves) i just think 'man, harsh would have been so much better for this specific song'. clean vocals were chosen so much more appropriately in past DT records.
