Probably feels that way if you don’t have much post/doom familiarity, but this really doesn’t sound directly like much in the scene, tonally or texturally. It’s slower and heavier than older Hum records, but every bit as ethereal, and it still sounds closer to their history than most anything traditionally associated with “post metal”.
