I was expecting to love this but I literally cannot stand a good portion of it.

I cringed at first, but grew to really enjoy it. some of the lyrics are still gahh

@Project I had exactly the same feeling, that chorus rules and needs to be heard more than twice

I kind of like when choruses leave you wanting more. I think 2-3 is the perfect amount. The song doesn't overstay it's welcome that way.

From the Sky is one of the best song they ever made.

I wasn't expecting to love this, but I am in the same boat. I do owe it to these guys to give it more listens though

I think this is the first PTH album I've truly enjoyed. There are some parts that are pretty cringe, but this is the first time a PTH album has really clicked for me.

Yeh gonna give this another .5 bump, the first 2 tracks have grown on me and the back half is lights out. Still not better than Volition, but much better than I initially thought

Wow, this finally clicked on a higher level for me. Musical theater Rody took some getting used to at first but his sound is just perfect in the context of these songs (that vibrato!). Some of his high powerful moments are stunning. And this is by far the most emotive album they've written.

@MrGlass Musical theater Rody, it's so accurate, I love it haha
I'm no vocal coach but it does sound to me like his technique has vastly improved. His voice is very divisive, evidently, but I think we can all agree that he's doing the best he can with the voice he was given. Arguably, even a bit too much on some tracks lol

bumped it, there are too many excellent tracks for me to deny this 4.5 status
I generally like Rody's voice but there are some points where it's really rough to listen to (the really fast-talking part of Fireside is pretty abrasive)

Got kinda sick of this, they keep using the same formula in each song. Whole thing blends together outside of maybe a couple songs

The moment that makes Rody's technical improve most evident is at the end of From the Sky. He hits those high notes with less strain and a more open tone than he ever would have been able to before.
