Malina was good, but felt like very by the numbers prog-rock compared to the rest of their discog.

album needed some time to get there but once it clicked it's brilliant. I lose hope is still def my least favourite track off the album, but Distant Bells, Sky is Red, At the Bottom? Those are sweeeeeet

Seeing them again tomorrow, hype is rising

Very hyped to hear most of this live, also hyped to see Klone with them this monday! This is just a typical Leprous record, it gets better the more you listened to it. Had a blast relistening their discography

Okey, Maraton was boring (although vocalist was good and had a great energy), Klone seemed interesting but every song they played sounded like any other from the set. Leprous crushed it as usual, when Einar started playing MB indifferentia chords I got chills all over my body

World Class as usual

This album makes me appreciate Malina even more, tbh. There's some great music here, but their signature techy, metal vibes are nearly gone. Malina still maintained that edge.

Interesting divide people have between this album and Malina

Malina does has more distorted guitars correct, but this destroys it in songwriting, diversity, themes, cohesiveness... idk man

Malina was serviceable, but generic for this bands standard. Pitfalls captures a certain vibe I haven't gotten from these guys since Bilateral. It feels more emotionally involved.

This is definitely more emotionally involved. May be its problem. May be my problem. Idk

I feel like Malina was more well-rounded while Pitfalls highlights are better. Kinda like Awake and SFAM. That being said, I couldn't possibly choose between Bonneville and Distant Bells (although live I much more prefer the latter).

@LifeFeedsOnLife The best part about it is that it is still a different vibe from Bilateral

@Djang0 Oh, for sure. This is a bit more restrained and tonally somber. Bilateral was all over the damn map and not afraid to flaunt how weird it was.
