Yeah, I've been checking some more of their music out lately, they seem quite consistent

I haven't ever checked them but these averages (especially with those amounts of votes!) are incredible.

Is this a good place to start though, or should I check another one first?

Nah its fine to start with this. As said they are hella consistent so doesn't really matter al that much where to start. Though an argument can be made not to start with Mariner, as it's a colab with female vocals added that doesn't appear anywhere else.

Depends how committed you are prepared to be, if you’re in it for the long run then start at the beginning (but admittedly you might want to check a track of two first), be warned the debut is their worst and The Beyond surpasses it in every conceivable way. Everything from there onwards represents both an interesting evolution and an abundance of quality throughout.



The averages don’t lie though, Salvation/SATH are considered their greatest achievements. This needs longer to see where it’ll settle.

Only lie in the averages is how Vertikal and Eternal Kingdom are supposedly on the same level as The Beyond ;]

Haha they really can do no wrong. Even on their lesser songs that drag. This drags at times but I believe this may be my second fav COL record it’s stunning.

Don't we all have those artists we wish to experience for the first time again?

This album is absolutely incredible. Best release by Cult of Luna, arguably better than SATHW. One of the best Post-Metal ablums I've listened to. Just mindblowing...
