Incarnate didn't really have many upbeat songs though. Disarm - yes, they were in fact the best ones, but it also had silly fillers like No End in Sight or All We Have.

Maybe you could complile the best songs off Incarnate and Disarm into a better album than Heartache. But I'd still take A Bid Farewell and Take This Oath over any cut on the last three.

yea those 2 are good cuts. but see, a song like All We Have was solid until the chorus. When Darkness Falls loses me by then too. the songs that lose me have good ideas pasted together with soft-cock chorus or lyrics.

When Darkness Falls is a cookie-cutter metalcore song. The intro riff is nice but other than that, it doesn't have much going for it. Breathe Life is worse though. But I do enjoy Rose of Sharyn and the last two tracks very much.

“Best kse albums. Atonement > Incarnate >= disarm >> Alive >>> self titled 2000 >>>>>>>>> all Howard jones screamo crap”

I don’t think I’ve ever disagreed more with a ranking in my life, but hey... do you!

I still don’t get the Howard “screamo” comments though.

Also, I guess I’m alone in thinking that s/t 2 is better than incarnate and this. I think the first half of that record is really strong.

AOJB > KsE I > EoH = Times of Grace > Disarm the Descent = As Daylight Dies > Incarnate > KsEII

This one will probs fall somewhere below DtD

I want to heart a full Howard Jones album again. Maybe give Jesse a break for a while especially because he sounds strained live.

@TheSpirit I agree KsE II > last two albums, but then still slightly better than Disarm the Descent. I'm not a great fan of any of the newer Jesse stuff but the direction they were going with KsE II wasn't amazing either.

KsE II is better than this.

Always loved Starting Over off that album.

While not bad per se, this is essentially Killswitch on autopilot.

Always thought their more "progressive" songwriting approach on ADD was exactly what they need, it's sad to see they hardly branch out of their comfort zone anymore these days. Can't blame them though

Yes, he did. Seeing the music video made me want them do a duo vocalist album.

Funnily enough that's the only good song here, love Howard.
