"their new album isn't worth mentioning in any relevance to “good” music."

the review would have been better if this downright attack to calling it downright unlistenable wasn't here, lmao, this album is perfectly listenable and perfectly fine on a musical standpoint, Marcus vocals are very strong and his screams are as well, the rest of the review is perfectly valid but the unlistenable part is just untrue on a multitude of different levels

Hi Tundra, thanks for at least coming to this discussion with a couple of neurons firing - it's a nice change.

"the review would have been better if this downright attack to calling it downright unlistenable wasn't here,"

I didn't call this un-listenable. Proof to that fact is the multiple times I had to sit through this album in order to come to this opinion. Keeping in mind that this isn't the lowest score I had available to rate this record (to which I've only ever bestowed to one album). My critique in the line you've selected above was in terms of sheer quality to which in my opinion (since that's what we're discussing) this album lacks in droves, not whether it's possible to listen to it to begin with. As for Marcus' vocals, they're pretty poor no matter what way you spin it. I'm all for people having different/same opinions on media.

Basically what I'm saying here is I think you've taken one line out of context and it's skewered your perception to critical opinion.

"haven't heard this but the review felt a bit ranty and less of a critique of the music. Also the first sentence felt pretty heavy and awkward"

definitely agree with this, the review comes off as kind of a rant to me as well

Pick one dude, also it's a 1/5 review... it's not going to be filled with glowing praise. Also noticing how you're conveniently skipping over the discussion.

Singularity is better tho.

This is good, but there are a few clunkers towards the end

Jinn is probably the most comfortable the current singer sounds with his cleans. It's right up his alley.

I really like the heavy parts on it. Those bwarr-bwarr-bwarr with the drums playing an off-beat.
