enter dog of pavlov is so full of good riffs it's almost inconceivable, shame all these cool songs are either tuned down or worse yet, in drop tunings lol

really interesting composition. love the ghostnote-y double time of the drums over the relatively slow and stripped down rest of the instruments in the verses.

vocal lines in the second half feel a bit uninspired on first listen. really enjoying the compositional uniqueness of this track though. kind of reminds me of epitome from the panic broadcast vibe wise but with brighter melodies which they seem to be into lately. they still got it.

Night Flight Orchestra, Speed and David Andersson's other band that plays cheesy AOR.
ever since NFO got successful, Soilwork has started adopting more and more traits from it, especially in the riff department. a lot of riffs on this album are some straight up 80s rock riffs. the new song suffers from the same thing and also has very cheesy keyboards. legit sounds like Journey in some parts.
at least we still have Speed's other-other-other-other-band Act of Denial, which sounds 100x more like Soilwork than Soilwork does now.

flug I typically like you but you're coming across as one of those fans who has to defend their favorite band from any mild criticism. Soilwork is one of my top 5 bands of all time, I just really dislike the much more simplified, hard rock riff driven sound they're doing compared to the glorious melodies of Living Infinite and Ride Majestic.

Yeah I also much prefer those two albums to this. I just prefer to enjoy myself instead of being overly critical these days. Life is hard enough as it is right now. It's not like I'm getting salty or angry at you, we can chill.
