I've been trying and struggling to get into anything post-STS. Half of Decemberunderground grew on me after a decade and theres songs here and there in the other later albums I like but this EP is awesome. Prob their best later work IMO.

Missing Man is their best work since Decemberunderground, but Crash Love (especially with the B-sides) and Burials are both real solid. Blood and Bodies are fine, but not up to the AFI standards we have come to expect.

How is this possible? all hollows, missing man, AoD, Black Sails, sing the sorrow are all better for sure, so you are saying Blood is better than everything pre black sails and post sing the sorrow (except MM)?
No way. DU, CL and Burials are all better and I would even argue for a couple of the pre Jade albums.

i do love Blood doe tbh. the initial hype for it was very high (insta 4.5'd it I think) and the highs will forever be very high but it did dip a bit. even just this past year, songs i've liked but never quite loved like that have grown (Feed From The Floor, The Wind That Carries Me Away)
