I said it on the previous page, but I think they have one more “good” album left in their creative tank; all they need is an appropriate amount of time and the right circumstances for them and management/producers. However there’s a part of me that thinks if they do release another album, it’ll be their last.

@aubergine The idea that they're washed up comes from their age (how much longer can Kyo keep doing this?) combined with the weak last album and problems on tour. It's true that they drastically improved from Marrow to Uroboros, but they were a lot younger then. They do have the potential for another good album, but generally speaking bands decline in quality in middle age, with some exceptions.



The last couple of Metallica albums were a big step up from Load and Saint Anger, but they're forgettable compared to the 1980s material. They're not actively disliked as much as ignored.

Live performance of a new sukekiyo song. Apparently they’re playing 8 string guitars now. It sounds a lot more DEG-ish but with more electronic elements.

Kyo's looks over the past month have been the worst they've ever been plus the smoking fucking hell lad state of ya.

Heard it's low recording quality plus broadcast on TV for stuff never sound good so I'm keeping up not viewing anything until an official trailer drops or the album itself.

Yeah usually he looks weird but in a cool way. But now he just looks plain weird lol. The smoking thing is also bizarre, I can’t imagine why in this day and age would start smoking in their 40s, especially a vocalist. I could understand if he started a long time ago but it seems like he’s doing it because it fits his current image that he will probably change again in a couple months.

Sooooo.... This is interesting; ran across a 320 rip of a live of theirs, entitled "Tour08 Death Over Blindness", and I can't find anything official about it. Yeah, there's people talking about it, but really nothing else. Will listen to it in the next couple of days...

This must be fanclub-only type of stuff; according to Wikipedia (yeah, yeah, I know...), they toured in May 2008, concluding with a three night stand at Shinkiba Studio Coast, and it was entitled "Death Over Blindness".



I also have a 320 of a fanclub-only release called "The Decomposition ov the Moon" that was released the same time as when they dropped their "Lotus" single in 2011.













I'm starting to get excited here...

Yeah, audio only. I played a couple tracks and skipped around on them, and they sound good. I found them while browsing a PVP program called soulseekQT. I also have their 2 disc's worth of material out of a 3-4(?) disc set from a live they did in 2017 with Pierrot called "Androgynos", and "The Code ov Vulgar[ism]". "Androgynos" is 128, and "Code..." is a 320.

I'll look into those two things you mentioned because they're not fanclub releases.

They don't sound like bootlegs. Not arguing or disagreeing though. I'll be interested to hear what you can dig up.

The Decomposition ov the Moon thing on Soulseek is not new stuff at all.

It's a combination of single stuff from the DSS era and the 2nd disc of the big Japanese limited edition from DSS, idk why they did this. What did you search to find Tour08 Death Over Blindness? I can not find it on Soulseek.

There’s this German dude who goes by Seelantau who runs the DEG wiki and posts on the DEG subreddit and on monochrome heaven (a visual kei forum) who’s a super mega DEG fan and collects a bunch of demos, bootlegs and rarities. He probably knows what it is.
