Don't worry they'll grow on me ;)

Fair enough, idk I definitely hear a combo of those bands and that's certainly a plus.

I really need to hear this again, such amazing atmosphere on here. Dani's lyrics on the early Cradle albums are always top notch too.

I don't know why but I was super surprised by how good they were when I was flipping through the booklet. Dude can write.

Probably because his persona can be so over the top. This album is so well written vocally/lyrically.

I remember putting on Cruelty for the first time while flipping through the booklet, reading the opening sentence, "Spawned wanton like blight on an auspicious night".. grabs dictionary...

Hahaha, same. I got into them when I was like 14, so I used to have no idea what the fuck he was talking about in some tracks.

Yeah he turned down an internship to write for a newspaper when he was 18 to pursue the band. The guy knows what he's doing hard.

Same Doom, was around the same age, maybe a little younger when I got into them. I sometimes still don't know what he's talking about haha

I knew he had a degree in literature but didn't know it was masters level, wow. It certainly does show in the lyrics.
