The only complaint I have about this album is the songs are kind of samey. But they sound so good that I mostly don't mind.

OK on one hand I'm glad that this has a 3.9 but also slightly irked that it's higher than Magnetic North...

Also these guys are playing shows with Taken in Japan. Honestly hard not to book a flight.

Taken are a band that deserved way more love than they got. Between Two Unseens is one of my favorite of this sort of Spacey Melodic/Post-Hardcore style.

yay! if you liked this there's no reason why you wouldn't like Magnetic North (place Saskatchewan after the title track for the full experience) and maybe A Types.

A Types has its moments but it didn't age well

Deftones seems to be a major influence on this, melodies are killer.

I cant listen to much Hum. Singer sounds bored off his ass to the point monotony.

I can hear quicksand a lot here too, good stuff.

I’m not sure “rip” is really a good descriptor of what Hum does but word

I think A Types has gotten better with age, the farther you get from the release the less knee-jerk reaction there is. It has some really great parts, it's biggest problem is that it feels a little too empty and unambitious at times.

Magnetic North however is an absolute classic and one of the most atmospheric, dense, and memorable post-hardcore releases ever IMO. This album is great but MN is really just that next step up for me. If you liked this you should really check that, it has it's own style for sure but there's no doubt the intersection of fans between this album and that is quite high.
