“The song is about dealing with grief & loss in the aftermath of losing a loved one. Searching for a reason & a way of computing losing part of your life you will never get back. Looking for something to blame as a way of coping with the unthinkable” - Winston McCall, on the lyrics of "Wishing Wells"

The message is nice, but I think it's just a really corny part of the song

The reviews for this album are clearly written by 12 year old children, metalcore mostly sucks thanks to screamo garbage vocals but winston has finally evolved his impressive vocals to a better metal vocal style. Calling it "tough guy metal" and hating it for that is comical because metal is supposed to be tough, not whiny, ever listened to Metallica? If it wasn't for guys like winston & jesse leach and bands like Bury your dead & hatebreed I would never listen to metalcore at all, the genre is for whiny little emos

Pretty sure hes the same dipshit who was on another account who seemed obsessed with "screamo" vocals and whats emo and whats not and had no idea what screamo was.

There are several things that baffle me with this record. One being the clean vocals on shadowboxing, why use them only there and use the quasi-singing on everything else.

My main gripe is this could have been a great concept album about death and dealing with it. Using some of the good parts of Atlas (the river, blue and the grey) to create a darker atmosphere. Winston could have used his entire vocal range throughout. Bringing in the new clean vocals on a slow track like the river. I only say the concept album thing as the way this opens with Wishing wells and the closing track.

So they are dropping a new track tomorrow, i have 0.5% hope that it will return to roots but im guessing it will be either this style again or dive digger into the Nu-Metal side of things

I mean its better than any of the singles from this.....but it still sucks. I miss Winstons old vocals being a dominate feature. Well when they do the inevitable Aus tour may go check these lads always put on a good show.

It’s a big meh for me. Was hoping they would return to a bit of their older harder sound, but that seems to be not the case. Not looking forward to the full album right now.
