People always accuse MJK of being disinterested specifically and I never really understood that “criticism.” Like what does that even mean? He sounds like he’s always sounded and people forget, he’s in his mid fifties so it makes sense he’d go for something more gentle and tame for his approach. I still love his voice.

Eh it sounds like a natural progression from how tamed Thirteenth Step was from Mer De Noms and how eMOTIVe continued that trend. 15 years later since their last proper record I think this sound makes sense.

After listening to this one last time, I think the problem is that it all feels like B-sides or something from Puscifer. The vocals are good but the composition and playing kind of languishes.
