Geez, amazed they didn't play Say Yes To Life. It was the closer at the Aussie gigs recently. Fear and Trembling was also brilliant live. Maybe time constraints? The Sydney gig lasted 2 hours 10 mins.

Record is good but I can't land on a rating. We all agree There Will Be Fireworks did this much better a few years ago right?

very different records, both 4.5-5 territory. I personally like The Dark Dark Bright more than this from a musical perspective, and River is one of the best songs of the decade, but this wins on lyrics (and TDDB was still pretty great on that front). TDDB doesn't have the variety of emotions that this does.

I'm holding them up to one another because to me they're both epic in scope, and dive into sad boi nostalgia, youth, and regret a lot thematically.

Quick note: I honestly can NOT listen to Achilles Come Down because I am CONVINCED it was used in a commercial and I can't put my finger on it and it drives me nuts.

I checked out TWBF because it was mentioned here, and didn't liek it nearly as much and thought it was an odd comparison too, but i do see some similarities
