Regardless of the context, this album still makes me fucking angry. Sure there are 3 ok songs like the self titled, sharp edges and talking to myself but the rest is poop

My main question is why bands who want to "age-up" their sound write pop music. Pop and maturity don't exactly mix. Why not write an acoustic album? The title track is a perfect way to age up your sound while appealing to all audiences. A good clean sounding song like "One More Light" ages you up and remains true to the band.

I'm totally fine with a poppier approach, but this was just done poorly.

Interesting album though not their greatest by any means it at least shows that the band is truly the jack of all trades master of none.

Finally just listened to this, and was hoping I'd enjoy it more than the average since I have a soft spot for LP, but wow this painful. I would have difficulty finding a lazier, more cliché album totally devoid of actual artistic creation.

Yes, Vevo are terrible. 99.9% of their output is trash.

After a half doezen listens this gets really old fast. The instrumentals end up really one dimensional, and the lyrics are simply not as good. I said earlier this is pop album of the year, I take it back. VEVO pop indeed

I've been subscribed to zwieR for years, although got lazy with his videos. Dude's a dope (Linkin Park) remixer. However, I do remember a few months ago he made some videos concerning a possibility that he was able to actually work with the band. Feel really sad for him that it may now be a burnt bridge due to Chester's death.

Hell yeah, zweiR is amazing. His music video for his One More Light remix really hits home now.

Zweir is very talented and his remixes are spectacular. He simply adds to the song rather than changing it, which is something most musicians lack when they attempt a cover. I could easily see some of his original and cover tracks getting airplay and doing well. If his remix of "Heavy" was the style Linkin Park used for "One More Light" in general, the album would have been a lot better. I do agree Linkin Park is the 'jack of all trades, master of none' and the album does prove that. And yes, I do live in Linkin Park threads. They are very comfortable.

To be honest some of zweiR's remixes very nearly surpass the originals. His Skin To Bone remix is fucking incredible.

I agree, he adds to the music which is why I like his remixes. His remix of "Car Radio" was surprisingly great as well. It adds a whole new interpretation of the song.
