I was especially into the title track but whole album was just so damn good. I'm shocked they topped their last album. I think they could potentially become the new forerunners for quality DM tbh.

"Who are they comparable to, Game? Any album you'd rec from them?"

late response so sorry for that. not sure who I'd directly compare them to but to generalize their sound it's basically a really technical chaotic variant of black metal without really falling in that deathspell omega dissonant chao category. curiously my favorite albums of theirs are literally everything in the left hand column on the band page here, while everything in the right hand column is more in the solidish category

how could they be the new forerunners of quality death metal if theres always been quality death metal though? especially recently with bands like Ulcerate, Portal, Flourishing, etc.

They may not acceptable as forerunners just yet, but this is probably the kind of quality push into dm I needed.

I haven't been able to get into the bands you guys just listed as much as this or its predecessor.

@ Crypto. I've been enjoying it more since this came out, which is weird, but I still like this better.

Respect to main songwriter Dan G here. I also liked the AB mark he left on the last Revocation with Monolithic Ignorance.

Sunless' new new is ridic good yeah. Better than Colored Sands imo.. And i only say that because of the heavy stylistic similarities.

CS is definitely better, without question.

Finally got to jam this in full, excellent effort. Really love the shifts between dissonance and melody.
