I won't rate this cuz I can't wrap my head around it, i don't go to music for this kind of experiences.

And I guess this is more on me that on the record itself, but I can't get why would anyone record an album so soon after such a fucking shitty event. It distances me from feeling anything, cuz I keep thinking it's stupid to just sit with an instrument and sing and you're just torn up inside. I know it doesn't need to mean anything, but fuck I keep thinking I'm missing something, a piece of a puzzle.

It does seem like he kind of forced this out, but it seems like it was genuinely his way of processing his emotions in the wake of tragedy.

"It's always a pointless discussion like it has too many contextual factors to even be a relevant thing. The whole "oh its good but it could NEVER hold a candle to x" is just redundant, does anybody actually seriously rank the things they enjoy? It means nothing"

Who cares? I like to rank things because it's just fun and interesting to rank one thing against the other. It doesn't hold back my enjoyment of one album just because I think another album is better. Ranking isn't dumb because, like discussing ANY form of entertainment, it's just a pass time to do if you're interested in.
