Excellent. Maybe I won't have to give this album below a 4 after all. I'm probably the biggest TDWP fan on this site, and after the last two singles I was starting to get a bit nervous.

I might have that particular title back after hearing the new one honestly man haha. I loved Transit Blues, but The Act is on a whole new level. You will not be disappointed.

There are tracks that do that don't get me wrong. New one has something for everyone.

Longest track is The Thread at 4:48. Which, is arguably the heaviest song on the album and my personal favorite.

The Act was solid on first spin. I dunno how I feel about the heavier stuff like Switchblade but some of the more emotional stuff hits right.

I cannot stand that talky yelly thing Mike is doing, he just sounds awful doing it. When it was just a solid yell like in Dead Throne and 8:18 it was fine, but I can't with this. The heavier moments were nice to hear but they didn't blow me away at all, I'll take the Mike lows tho because they sound fantastic. I really miss Chris Rubey's songwriting too, the songwriting on The Act is just boring to me

Hell yeah, you da man Steak. Good reasoning. I personally loved Mike's vocals. They're worn and torn pretty hard, but they somehow add to the album's charm. He sounds tortured.

I can certainly see the appeal of them, and they def fit the album but I just don't resonate with them. More power to you tho brother big love
