It's just one of those albums. I think it's their best one post-Alan and Garrison, but you have to push the fact that Alan and Garrison ever existed to the back of your mind to appreciate it.

That ruled. Orchid is the best song on this album, and I never pieced together that it was about Alan.

no beef between them and alan anymore. he is not interested bc hes living the dad life, which is the reason sean stepped out as well

I'm pretty excited for what they come up with next at least, really enjoy Pull from the Ghost.
This album's grown on me a lot, even though it has a few flaws; and yeah nothing can touch their first 2 LPs but the sound they've developed now is good.

This is one of my all time favorite core albums, I have absolutely destroyed it lol. I listened to it so much I hadn’t in forever and decided to revisit tonight. Since I’ve been streaming, which is probably since about 2012/2013, it’s my most played album. I adore it so much
So awesome you were listening to it haha

I might have to check this. Mah casket creaks for fret squeaks and coastline melodies

I’ve heard Alpha Seed and liked it! But I’ve heard a song from Impulse and not liked it, so I haven’t listened to much from these guys based on timing and such. I liked the clean singer’s first solo album, though. What would you recommend?

| |
It might have been White Noise and the timing of my life. Checking it out now, it makes me want to learn how to snowboard

impulse and augment amazing. self titled is cool too. also moments of clarity ep good. this album ok lol

impulse gang but render the void is most of what gives it the edge. augment is just as perfect and in many ways better
while s/t is just a hair short of that unreasonable bar, its still the best album they could possibly make without alan and garrison and brings some new things to the table they hadnt tried yet so thats def worth jamming too (granted thats comin from mr "has it 5d and like 13k scrobs on that album alone" so lmao)
|
| |
The s/t is easily the best album to jam first imo, it's their most accessible and matches up to Augment and Impulse.
