San Diego is one of the few tracks I like on this, sounds like Mark was actually writing a sincere song for once on the album. But I do agree that Matt probably shouldn't have sung as much of it as he does.

The two chords that open Obvious are 10000000 times more powerful than anything on this album

Treb how much Skiba did you genuinely expect on this album because it was pretty obvious to everyone that it wasn't gonna be a 50/50 situation tbh

mmm they split it pretty much 50/50 and Matt does almost all of the rest, it's significantly Matt's song for sure

I think they were kind of close to 50/50, leans towards Mark a bit I'd say. My problem with this whole thing is with the way the songs are structured, most of the time it's Mark verses ---> Matt chorus ---> Matt verse ----> Mark/Matt chorus ----> Mark bridge ---> Mark/Matt chorus
Of course this is disregarding any background "woahs". But all too often the songs basically take on that structure and it's just another reason why these songs sound so boring and uninspired, they never came close to challenging themselves.

Voyager and Overload are far better than pretty much everything on here. Wether you like the guy or not, Tom was definitely more involved in shaping the sound so much people seem to like from the Self-Titled album.

I just heard an interesting interview where Travis said that he and Mark didn't want the sound that blink was heading in. They wanted more straight up, fast punk music. It makes sense when you listen to this and then listen to neighborhoods or self-titled.

The production is so bad that Mark and Matt sound almost the same. I thought most of it was just Mark

Yeah I wish there was more Matt parts, but the Matt vocals I do hear I like. also was kinda hoping for better lyrics considering that there are some really good alkaline trio lines. I wonder how much Matt even wrote.

Eh, I said I wouldn't listen to this again but it's summer and Blink and summer go together like Wendy's shakes and french fries.
Upped my rating a bit, it's still overall a bad album but San Diego won me over, slightly increasing the total of decent songs.

Man I gave neighbourhoods a listen today and this made that look like a damn masterpiece.
I feel like they should've used hearts all gone as a blueprint and gone in that direction...
