Skeleton is great (I especially like the back third of the album, starting with 'Grace'), but this album just connects with me. Perhaps it's a little less dense, production-wise, than Skelethon, which makes it a more aurally pleasing listen. It's also very engaging to hear him be so open - his delivery is still insanely verbose, but the emotional temperature of each track is easy to pick up.
To clarify though, even though I picked up Skelethon on release, I only listened to it about 3 times fully. After Impossible Kid became by 2016 AOTY, I'm back into it and trying to crack it. But at this stage I still vastly prefer this release.

Float is awesome. How flow is kinda bleh on that one, his refinement is what makes this and skelethon

I really like all the attention this review has gotten, being the attention slut that I am. Also, I've queued up Labor Days as one of those classic albums I still need to listen to.

Just cancelled his Aus/NZ tour due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. Fuck I was really looking forward to it.

First half dozen pages of this review's comments has got to be some of the most pathetic shit I've ever read. Album rules. Aesop isn't as pretentious as his detractors imply and he's not the sagely wizard his worshippers claim he is. What he is... is a rapper with vivid flows. Album rules.
