I've tried to keep band history at a minimum in my writing. I attempted to make it brief and enjoyable to read, with the bulk of the review obviously focusing on the album.

It's helpful for people who aren't as familiar with this band to have a brief recounting of events imo, and it worked as a transition to what I said next so I'm happy with it.

everyone on here is familiar with this band, at least moreso than 99% of bands on here. i recommend only touching on biographic/historic themes when you can tie it specifically to something on the album in question, rather than doing so obligatorily. if someone wants the history of the band, you could link them to a wiki page or something. otherwise, make sure the backstory is tied to your own insight, rather than you just rewriting common knowledge.

that said, while i get that user's complaint, i thought you went about it tastefully. so whatever, no need to change it imo

Thanks Johnny, I just figured that with 10X+ views per day plenty of the people seeing this are just randos on the Internet who googled the album. They could just look up the wikipedia page, but this band has a storied history that I just thought was important to how much they've changed the sound, but generally I do try to avoid history cause it is usually unnecessary.
