"Anyone notice that the opening harmonica on I Can't Give Everything Away is a throwback to Low's 'A New Career in a New Town?' That's so symbolic."

Yeah, I noticed this too (Low is my favourite Bowie album). One of the great artists now gone. You will be missed, greatly so.

Yeah, just sounds a teeny bit sadder than the one on A New Career : (

Would that all of us could confront our own mortality with such grace.

Wow.

This album's so brilliant and knowing the fact that he composed this in the last moments of his life only makes it that much more unforgettable and chilling.

Maybe the Blackstar that he is referring to in the song, the one who replaces him, is you and I. Maybe he hopes that in death he will inspire the likes of us to create fearlessly like he did. Regardless, I'm feeling enlivened by it.

Unfortunately it came after Low and Heroes so it was bound to be overlooked.

Nope. "Heroes" came after Low, and both of these came after Ziggy and Hunky Dory. It got "overlooked" because it wasn't that great.

This album has only been out a few days and I already feel like this will reach a legendary status now.

What's more impressive is that it went from a ~3.78 to a 3.93 on RYM, and is now the sixth highest rated album there by Bowie (.01 behind "Heroes").

I feel a compulsion to bump this to a 4.5, the context is too much.

I bumped to a 5 in honour and the context. Absolutely love the music as well, especially Dollar Days, just wow.

Physical copy should be on its way.
