All the Spiritbox chat in this thread reminds me of the time my ex bandmate showed me Spiritbox and I was like “yeah cool they sound really Tesseract influenced” and he outright ARGUED with me that Spiritbox sounded “nothing like” Tesseract

I mean, they don't sound like Tesseract, they're just influenced by them, like you said; probably mainly from the atmospheric quality this band oozes. Their self-titled is heavily influenced by Tesseract, pretty sure Courtney has already said that. Your mate sounds out of the loop here lol.
