Quite mid insomnium album imo, so still really solid stuff. Better than the last two and I'm really hoping for a another winters gate, even thou it seems like a fluke now. Still I don't think they have a bad album, but another peak would be awesome. At least they are very good live nowadays.

Is Insomnium maybe the most consistent melodic death metal band ever? I'd be hard pressed to think of another band, a lot of the Gothenburgers fell of hard. And Dark Tranquility doesn't even do melodeath anymore

Would've loved the production to not sound like it is a 192 kbps album, and the harsh vocals sound a bit too whispery to me. But I love the melodies here, stellar record.
