"also the beat is horrible"
I never got why the beat was a big deal to people, most of the time you barely even hear the beat, it's really Eminem's voice that takes up the presence, the beat is like a nearly invisible backdrop to Eminem's lines

I dunno man I took off the tracks I mentioned and spun this and it actually worked as an album. I'm also not talking about how good or not those tracks are, just saying they don't fit

I dunno man that song is just all-around gross to me, and the beat is what immediately stood out to me when I first heard it. To each their own though

this is some definite hodgepodge, but the good heavily outweighs the bad, I don't care if I had to delete 3-4 songs on here, the rest of this is some of the best rap of his career and of the year

yeah take off those five songs and it'd be a solid 3.5 or so for me, but rating the album as a whole the out of place, poppy and just plain bad tracks bring it way down

The technical skills shown on Rap God are pretty impressive. Shame the verse is awful.

Can we stop pretending like anyone matched the highs of this album's rapping in the past 10 years or so?
smh at everyone on this site writing it off as "technical skills"
you could make an Illmatic-length album of superb-classic shit from this album, I don't like how most people on this site constantly underrate long rap albums, its like, what do you expect? Every album to have beginning-to-end playback value like Illmatic?
I don't feel like most rappers are even trying to accomplish that, they are just releasing a bunch of tracks for the most part.
