While I don't agree with this review's score, I do find it excellently written. I can understand the score as a comparison to his greatest albums, but even then if you made a scale where it went 5 was SSEP 4 was MMLP1 and 3 was ES this would still make the album at least a 2. If you are rating it as a standalone Hip Hop record (Some tracks being laughable as a "hip-hop") Then I think the Album deserves a 3.0. While I enjoy the album and find myself addicted to some songs, I wish it was an EP with only like 5 songs. As a life long fan I am alright with this being the final chapter of the book of Slim. Wish there were better beats backing some of the songs (Rap God especially could be a top 7 MM track if it had a better beat). Anyway good review cheers.

Goddamn, had he left all of the piece of shit tracks off of this and replaced them with the bonus tracks then this could have been a 3-3.5

idk why he always puts the best tracks as bonus tracks. ridaz, we as americans and love you more are better than over half the tracks on recovery/encore
|
| |
Yea Bad Guy is good specially if you grew with the song Stan since it continues it and all
All the other tracks I've heard from the album were horrible though (that includes the singles although i sort of like Rap God)

All agreed: Bad Guy is great.
I love the technicality shown on Rap God, but I just fucking hate that verse. "I'm beginning to feel like a Rap God - Rap God." CRINGE!
Evil Twin is pretty swee, too.

The entire track comes across as a bit tongue in cheek so I'm not bothered by it. Most of the album seems pretty self aware which is a relief after Recovery.
Also I REALLY wish he'd left Survival off of this. It just doesn't mesh in tone with the rest of the material

The bonus tracks are like.... the best, wtf. Don't like Groundhog Day, but the other four are pretty good. Maybe gonna bump my rating a little.. Also i like Bad guy, Brainless, Love game and Evil Twin. The rest is pretty shit though. "Stronger Than I Was" is probably worst EM song.. that singing..
