I spent some time revisiting this yesterday and today and I have to admit, it has held up significantly better than I remember. Honestly an all around solid album that while not having jaw dropping highs, it has very few lows as well and is just consistently great.

The album sounds good, but ultimately it's on the boring side. Besides Conductor, Embrace, and Face Beneath the Waves, there isn't really anything memorable for me. I liked the sound of Crash Love less, but at least it's much more versatile and savory.

Probably mentioned this here before but 17 Crimes has slowly become one of my favorite singles that AFI has ever put out. I always liked it well enough but it has only grown on me more and more over the years. It's the perfect blend of fun and nostalgia. The solo might be my favorite solo in AFI's entire discography, not necessarily from a technical standpoint, but the emotions that it evokes just hit perfectly.
