lol JT, I think you can stop posting in PT threads now you've made your point.

This band and A Perfect Circle and some others would be playing on Internet radio when I was at my dads, and I was getting into bass at the time, so I learned a bunch of the songs too.

Stop Swimming has my favorite drums in any PT track.

Also, probably the best PT track

Blank Planet's probably my least favorite PT record. It's got some cool stuff but it's also so over the top ridiculous.

I'd definitely recommend checking out some of their earlier psych stuff. Up the Downstair's tripped out and spacey, Sky Moves Sideways has a bunch of WYWH-era Floyd worship going down, and Signify's just magnificently well written

Blank Planet is amazing instrumentally and structurally. It's just the lyrics are so poor; he got too ambitious with the concept and it just didn't work.

I'll check 'em eventually. Dark Matter is a beaut.

The lyricism on FOABP is just about boderline tolerable at it's worse. Music certainly makes up for it though

Well "Anesthetize" is the best 15+ minute track Wilson has ever wrote, aside from "TSMS" (not counting "Moonloop" because it's improvised).

Fear was my first PT album. And hell, how good it is... The concept makes sense if you did not bury that 12 yo old kid inside your soul. All the struggles he has in the album can be very well projected on mature person as well. He's just vessel, suitable for album ideas. Anesthize rocked the shit out of me on first listen. Superb guitar attack on this, and the layering is masterfully used throught the track. Those guys reminds me of Isis somehow (songwriting gods), as well as Devin.
