The opener for Aviary blew my scalp off. Poised to be her best already.

Edit: And 1h 30 minutes btw, prepare some tea, this gonna take a while.

Is she ever going to make more stuff similar to Tragedy? Is the new one similar to Tragedy or is it just more of this and Have You In My Wilderness?

I got halfway through it but I don't know if it's for me. It doesn't take the experimental tag lightly.

It's this meets Jenny Hval meets Swans.

@Lucman
I hope it doesn't. This and Have You In My Wilderness are a bit disappointing when I compare them to Tragedy; the latter is out of this world when compared to the other two. Gonna listen to a couple of pieces then.

I'm not a fan of Hval to be honest.
Can someone just steal Holter's money so she can make something electronic again?

Well it's not 100% Hval, but it really reminded me of her in some parts, a bit of Bjork too I might say.

Well, I like Holter more than both so... Umh, yeah, Swans. Swans are cool. Gira is a cool man.

I'm gonna try it again tonight when I can properly focus on it. I've never been able to get into really experimental stuff. I think it was the first four minutes of "Everyday is an Emergency" that sounded like a bunch of Kazoo kids playing out of tune and it just kept going on and on. The second half of that track was more atmospheric which is something I enjoy a lot more.

Oh yeah man, that track's first half almost put me off. The new album could have perfectly be split into two albums but take your time with it Luc, there's a lot of good stuff in it.

I definitely will. There's a lot of interesting stuff going on, my mind just has to piece it all together and make something of it.

Same here, my first listen left me exhausted but with the impression that I just heard smth great. Now I just want to revisit it track by track like dissecting the whole thing.

I’m looking forward to hearing it! I’m sure it’ll take a lot of time to appreciate but I’m willing to take my time with it.

I'd never heard of this lass before but decided to spin the new one, very interesting record that I thought was going to be completely impenetrable at first, but is already starting to win me over. Preparing to invest some time into understanding it a little more, hopefully.

She’s definitely an artists who takes time to grow on you. I hated her previous record when I first heard it but came back to it two years later and fell in love with it.
