and it sucks cause music is a thing that should bring ppl together and that's why i like socializing about it (with certain ppl) but i feel bad (with certain ppl) if i don't like something they like cause it's like i know there's music that is really really important to me and i mean if some dude is like 'wow this is shit' i don't fucking care but like if someone i like and agree with on a lot of stuff is like 'wow this is shit' it feels like a personal blow to me even though it ISN'T it's just like idk i have a lot of albums i connect with a lot and if someone i like just listens to it and doesn't really get it the same way i do it just sucks

And yeah I get you yak I have this one friend and he's a cool dude but he's the hugest heavy-metal elitist in the world like we're talking KILL in real life here and he can't appreciate anything that isn't Iron Maiden or Primus and any conversation with him that gets onto the subject of music is either a) I say nothing about how I like bands that he doesn't like so he doesn't get pissy or b) I do and he gets pissy that I don't like Pantera
