Hero and the title track are as good as most of the tracks on OP.

OP might be the exception, but none of those songs has shit on Farewell, Mona Lisa.

First half is a lot stronger, agreed.
2nd half goes off the rails on occasion, but still manages to keep things interesting.

Dude, no disrespect but the album is a grower.
On first listen I was like 'yeah its good', but then it grew like a motherfucker on the 3rd and 4th listen.
It still has a few issues, though.

Definitely man.
I wasn't too fond of them either, but they 'worked' within the album.

Gonna dive in for the first time. Loved OP. Let's see what this has to offer since my opinion tends to differ from others.

Yeah, one of my fave releases so far this year.
Not AOTY material like I previously presumed.
|
| |
Also I dont really understand the comments about the singles not having direction. The transitions are very well-placed, one part leads into another incredibly well, and they introduce and reintroduce ideas in differing packaging within each track. Honestly I could see that criticism more with some of the other heavier tracks here, but I think the singles are some of the most coherently written tracks here
