I didn't mean the whole album, only Given Up.
And on the whole HT has it's powerful and energetic tracks, but there's still only half a dozen of them. Also Living Thngs is their least energetic, it's just hidden under all the electronic stuff

Hah, Hands Held High is one of the few songs I actually liked on this slab of shit

Given Up, No More Sorrow, In Pieces, and maybe Leave out all the rest are pretty solid. The rest is complete shit though

Wow Hands Held High blows so hard haha. I like What I've Done, In Pieces and Little Things but the rest is all ranging from meh
to terrible.

What I've Done is solid upon initial listen, but it progressively gets more boring upon each listen.

thought the vocal performance was pretty good although i didn't pay attention to the lyrics. either way, i will probably never hear any of these songs ever again

^^This. Wouldn't phrase it like that, since I still think it's
on the better side, but it definitely suffers the more you
play it . Leave Out All The Rest even more.

Leave Out All the Rest suffers less imo since it doesn't have that mind-numbing piano sample

~given up breakdown is the only good part about it~
Nah, the intro and the bass line are great.

little things is the only passable song on here

I still love Little Things. Quite a bit of substance in their lyrics there and Chester's singing is awesome.

Yeah, probably their best closer. And it's easily one of Chester's best performances together with My December, Breaking The Habit and maybe Given Up.
Always strange to me how crappy he sounded on most of the next two albums. I mean, The Messenger is god awful.
