but there's nine guys in the band and it's probably clown that did that. corey taylor wouldn't care for stuff like that
Steerpike, agree wit you.
By the way, this is a shitty review...Might review it soon i guess.

i am a bit late to the "Stone Sour vs. Slipknot" being better but I had never heard any Stone Sour until like last week. Everyone kept telling me that Vol. 3 was reminiscent of Stone Sour-esque music. Stone Sour sucks huge sweaty balls. Other than the fact that some acoustic was used on Vol. 3 there is absolutely no comparison in music and songwriting.
I personally was bored to tears with Stone Sour's music. It lacked something (i can't really say what since I think Slipknot is cool-i'm not a fan, but I think they're cool- and they have the same singer and guitarist).
As for this album, I think that other than a few filler songs like the virus of life, the lame prelude and three nil, it's an awesome album

You gave Vermilion 4/10? You fail....you fail at life.

Why? Because he disagrees with you?

Personally, I've never even attempted to get into Slipknot. Their image never appealed to me, and from anyone that I would consider a reputable source, I've heard nothing but bad about them. Judging by this review I figured I'd give them a try. I listened to a few of the songs from this album on Youtube and...well...they aren't that great as far as I'm concerned. Yeah, sure, the guitarist has decided to actually show a little more skill by implementing solos into a few songs. But the solos really aren't all that impressive. Especially to someone like myself, who prefers more melodic solos (something with emotion, like, say, something Slash would do) over fast-as-humanly-possible shredding. But eh, to each his own I suppose. I still think that "maggots" would find themselves liking Slipknot less and less if they actually tried listening to some music that involves actual musical talent, or a higher degree at least (don't want to sound like I'm blindly bashing Slipknot...they certainly have some measure of talent). May I suggest Tool, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, maybe even Trivium? (yeah, people like to bash for being derivative...still, the guys have some talent, even though everything before their latest album was nearly unlistenable thanks to the screaming vocals IMO...)

Umm... this is probably my least favorite of the 3 albums... not because it wasn't heavy enough, but the songs just didn't stick to me like the others did on the previous albums. But still i digged this a lot and i still like taylor's vocals in this... good review.

This record is absolute shit house compared to IOWA. Wheres the all out insanity?! I dont want to hear a super clean Dualty, I wanna hear another (sic)!. This album is way way way over produced and way too experimental for older fans to take any liking at all. Im staying with my IOWA and hoping they will make another stronger record. Save ur money for Disaterpieces while ur at it.
