I have never been able to get into Deftones. I find everything they do to be incredibly meh. I don't hate it, but I never find any need to go further into it. Any recs that may/may not change my mind?

I only heard a few songs off White Pony. I was thoroughly unimpressed. Maybe I just heard the wrong songs? Suggestions for particular songs would be nice.

The songs of theirs that immediately stood out to me were Minerva, Beware, Passenger, Diamond Eyes, Bored and My Own Summer.

Gotta disagree with some statements here, album starts off poorly for me. "Swerve City" has that monotonous riff playing over and over again and "Romantic Dreams" goes on for way to long. The last minute of that song is pointless filler. "Leathers" is decent but then the album really picks up after that for me.



Would've agreed with the 2.5 rating if "Entombed" "Gauze" and "Goon Squad" weren't on the album.

i didnt find it emotional at all honestly. I thought the production was fantastic and that it had some cool guitar riffs and melodies sprinkled throughout.

The production is really great, the synthesizer mixes in without sounding cheesy.



I think the big plus in this album is how well written and structured the songs are. I mean look at Romantic Dreams, all three riffs have nothing in common but they've put them together so well. They've come a long way from Be Quite (And Drive Far Away). Simple/beautiful guitar > technical
