I was too harsh with my previous rating. Liking the album a bit more atm, though I still think it's got nothing on their first 3.

just sayin, when u compare these guys to the likes of entombed, obituary, morbid angel, death, cannibal corpse, gorguts etc. idk, these dudes don't sound like legit death metal.

this lp is ok tho, i'm not prejudiced against it. just not true dm.


Who cares, this rules hard, no matter the genre and all that stuff ?

Album pretty much zigzagged with me. Thought it was their best having only heard it once, then heard it twice and it grew off me, and now I think I'm pretty level with it.

If I were to rank Opeth (so far), it would look like this:

First 3 albums > Heritage > Still Life > this, GR and Watershed

Need to listen more but that's more or less how it's looking.
