I noticed this today...and please don't flame me too much, but....oh man here it comes...Blindfolds Aside sounds like a better, more technical Chiodos.

Let's all be honest for just one moment...that song could easily be mistaken for a Craig Owens-fronted song. Yes, PTH is much, much better than Chiodos, heck PTH is one of my fav bands. But will somebody please acknowledge this similarity?
|
| |
Not really. Owens is more nasily and obnoxious.

this album is great. i look forward to the next release from the these boys and the human abstract as they are both very similar bands.

I wouldn't say Protest the Hero and The Human Abstract are that similar, but I'm looking forward to both of their new albums.
I'm expecting some flaming from Cocaine sooner or later.

The only reason to compare the two is they have sort of a friendly rivalry. The better band is obvious.
Also, the video for Bloodmeat is done.

Urrggh, this sounds so plain to me now. It's shot down tremendously, I don't know why.

Give it a break. I only really got tired of it for a brief moment a year or so ago. I still listen to this two or three times a week.

i think it'll win people over. I understand why Kezia splits people. The vocals are way too harmonised, there's way too much guitar dubbing and some of the stuff was obviously thrown in last minute.
Fortress still has a lot of guitar dubbing sadly, but the vocals are going to be way more organic and the album is definitely finished whereas Kezia just kept getting pushed back and pushed back to the point where they kind of just went "sup" and finished it.

Nah, either I mis-typed or you mis-read. They wanted to make it a little heavier and take away some of the really obvious poppy stuff. It'll still be another week (at least) before I hear it so I'm just going on quotes and what I've been told in passing.
Rody did want to drop a lot of the 4 part vocal harmonies and intense vocal layering, however. Wanted to retain them when they were necessary but sort of make his approach more organic, which I'm told he did. This Message Edited On 11.11.07

I liked the vocal layering tbh.

Did I ever tell you how good this review is?
Now if only it wasn't hindered by hyperbole

Elevator is right, the vocal layering gets out of hand. So does the guitar dubbing.

How do you change font colour again?

What exactly do all the God and Jesus references mean?
