but i'm inclined to agree that part 5 is the best of the trilogy

fly by night is definitely my favorite song off of this. after that it's probably a tie between uniform and distant shadow.
trilogy 1 and 2 are probably always going to be my favorite loma songs though.

end of trilogy 1 is so intense.

yeah it's probably my favorite part of any loma song. that or the intro to trilogy 2.

I have been listening to this non stop it's so good. It really does a good job of mixing harshness and abrasiv sounds with butifull and tender ones. Just awesome

When they play Trilogy 6 live, I swear it sounds like the music gets louder just as it does on the record, and on top of that they're too loud as it is.
Ear plugs is a must for this band.

still my aoty. i haven't seen them since this came out unfortunately but yeah they tear it up.
|
| |
or maybe i really like this. but still, i'm accepting recommendations.
|

yeah i've scrobbled more than a thousand plays for this album on last fm, and i've spun the vinyl quite a few times also.
|

any of you guys know some more great emo records?
|
| |
Fine I'll go look for a list myself
|
| |
fall out boy are my favorite emo band
|
| |
Yes I expected you to have a bunch of recs because you seem to know a lot about pretty much every genre except for the stuff I specialise in like ska and reggae haha
|
| |
10 ft. Ganja Plant - Bass Chalice (their whole discography rules tho)
John Brown's Body - Pressure Points (again, their whole discography is worth a listen)
Toots & The Maytals - Funky Kingston (this could be considered a ska/reggae crossover record but oh man is it good)
Abyssinians - Satta Massagana
Aswad - Hulet
Bunny Wailer - Blackheart Man
marcus Garvey - Burning Spear
The Congos - Heart of the Congos
Culture - Two Seven Clash
Steel Pulse - True Democracy
The Mighty Diamonds - Right Time
Yabby You - Conquering Lion
Peter Tosh - Equal Rights
Alpha Blondy - Jerusalem
just some stuff off the top of my head... I'll probably make a reggae list one of these days (btw I'm assuming you heard all of Bob Marley and The Wailers' stuff here, if you haven't: get on it)
|
| |
Lol I had no idea Toots's stuff was that popular
good to hear he's getting some recognition tho, the man is a legend
|
| |
add The Mad Conductor to that list
|
| |
Hmm yes good idea...
